Gargee Sharma
Gargee Sharma

The action was picked up with Roni Taylor all in with a stack around 180,000 {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} in his hands and against Gargee Sharma who had made the call in the big blind, with {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Sharma had the dominated hand but the board ran out {3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to give her the pot with two pair and eliminate Taylor.

Thompson Left with Crumbs

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jolyne Thompson raised to 30,000 and Meikat Siu three-bet to 78,000 in teh hijack. It folded back to Thompson who tanked before making the call.

The flop fanned {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Thompson shoved for a stack around 260,000. Siu quickly called with a slightly lower stack and they tabled their cards:

Jolyne Thompson: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Meikat Siu: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Thompson didn't find any miracle on the {8-Clubs} turn and {4-Diamonds} river and she was left with only 3,000 after that hand.

Nguyen Hits Quads

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, Nancy Nguyen shoved for her last 70,000 and Gloria Jackson called in the big blind.

It was a typical flip situation, Nguyen holding {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} versus {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for Jackson. The board revealed {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to give quads to Nguyen and the needed double up.

McKee Doubles Through Konnikova

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Melody McKee limped from middle position. Maria Konnikova raised to about 40,000 on the button.

Action folded back to McKee who limp-shoved for 186,000 and Konnikova had a decision to make.

"Last time you did this you had aces," she told her opponent.

Even so, Konnikova made the call to put McKee at risk

Melody McKee: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Maria Konnikova: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Off to the races, the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, McKee made a straight and took down the pot.

"One hand and you're back in the game," said a tablemate.

"I've doubled you up twice now, but this one was a good call," said Konnikova.
