Sylvia Makes a Flush

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jesse Sylvia raised to 18,000 in middle position and picked up four callers along the way. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the action checked to Sylvia who continued with a bet of 60,000. The button shoved all in for a little over 100,000 and Sylvia quickly called.

Button: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Jesse Sylvia: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The button flopped the better two pair but Sylvia also had a flush draw. The turn was the {10-Spades} which gave Sylvia a flush. The {9-Clubs} bricked the river and Sylvia eliminated his opponent.

Two Players Eliminated on the First Hand

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With hand-for-hand play underway just two players off of the money, there were multiple all-in and calls scattered across the room. At one table, Michael Mizrachi flopped a set of jacks on the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop while his opponent flopped top two pair. The {8-Clubs}, {9-Spades} runout was clean for Mizrachi who eliminated one player.

At another table, two players got all of their chips in the middle on the flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Jian Fei Bai turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight and flush draw. The {9-Hearts} on the turn made him the nut straight and the {k-Spades} on the river was a brick as he also eliminated a player.

Two players were eliminated on the first hand of the money bubble and the remaining 429 players have now locked up at least a min-cash.
