Hellmuth Receives the Bad News

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth was in late position and three-bet an early position opener, to which that player quickly called. The flop came {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn {q-Clubs} saw a bet from the early position player which Hellmuth called.

A river {4-Clubs} once again produced a bet from the early position player and a snap-call from Hellmuth.

The sixteen-time WSOP bracelet winner was not too happy when his opponent showed him the goods of {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a rivered full house.

" Are you f****g kidding me?! " he exclaimed in classic Hellmuth fashion as he flashed aces before he threw his cards into the muck, muttering under his breath about what a "goofball play" that was.
