Scully Calls For Wrong Card

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The PokerNews team was called over to a table to report on a hand after the fact. Under the gun opened the action to 30,000, the cutoff three-bet to 100,000 and it folded to Ryan Scully in the big blind who moved all in for 264,000 total. The initial raiser folded and the cutoff made the call.

Ryan Scully: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Scully was in great shape preflop but needed to dodge his opponents cards. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}, giving the cutoff top-set and crushing Scully's chances in the hand. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} which again was no help to Scully.

"Give me a queen!", shouted Scully, as he thought he had a broadway draw, but in fact didn't.

The river came the {a-Diamonds} and the table erupted as Scully hit the ace he needed, despite cheering for a queen. Scully laughed as he stacked his chips and told PokerNews he's had quite a few Corona's today.
