Welcome to Day 1 of Event #79: $1,979 Poker Hall Of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em of the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. Day 1 of the two-day event is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, July 10th, at 3:00 p.m. local time in the Paris Ballroom Black and Purple sections.

This is a relatively new event for the 2022 World Series of Poker as it just started last year. Players will receive the year a Poker Hall of Famer was inducted in dollars from the prize pool for each one they eliminate. For example, Daniel Negreanu was inducted in 2014. Therefore, eliminating him would earn the winning player a $2,014 bounty. Players can redeem bounties after 8:00 p.m local time on Day 1.

The Poker Hall of Fame was established in 1979. Though the Hall of Fame is virtual in nature, its membership includes poker's most influential players and other important contributors to the game. There are 32 living members, and the honor of Poker Hall-of-Famer has been bestowed upon 60 individuals.

This event drew 468 entrants last year and generated a prizepool of $826,050 and 29-year old German pro Ole Schemion was the player who emerged victorious to claim the grand prize of $172,499.

Notable Hall of Famer’s such as Todd Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Barry Greenstein, Chris Moneymaker, and Scotty Nguyen have been spotted playing in some events this year at the 2022 World Series of Poker. Odds are high that a few of them will be playing this historic event.

All players will receive 30,000 starting chips and will play a total of 17 levels on Day 1, with each level lasting 40-minutes. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels and late registration will remain open until after Level 9 (~9:45).
