Dipascale Takes One from Kyriakides

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

The flop showed {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} in a heads-up raised pot when Miltiadis Kyriakides checked to Joseph Dipascale in the cutoff who also checked.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and this time Kyriakides check-called Dispacale for 30,000. Both checked again on the {a-Diamonds} river and Dipascale tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, which was good to take the pot as Kyriakides folded his hand, only showing {5-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Lam Takes a Pair From Negreanu

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu opened to 20,000 from the hijack. He got one caller, Vincent Lam in the small blind. The pair checked the {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop leading to the {3-Diamonds} turn. Lam led out for 25,000, getting a call from Negreanu. The pair again checked on the {6-Hearts} river. Lam turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and Negreanu mucked his hand to give Lam the pot.

Two hands later, Negreanu, now in early position, opened for the same bet. He again received a single caller, being Lam, who was now in the cutoff.

On the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, Negreanu check called a bet of 20,000. They checked the {7-Hearts} turn before Lam fired 69,000 on the {q-Clubs} river.

"Bad river card. How much is that?" Negreanu said as soon as Lam fired, "a queen, of all the cards." After a minute or so, Negreanu made the fold, giving Lam another pot to add to his growing chip stack.
