Vanessa Kade found herself very short early on Day 1 but has put herself back in the game.

After the button opened, Kade defended her big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the button continued for just about the size of the pot. Kade put in a small raise and the button came along for the ride.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Kade jammed for roughly the size of the pot and, after a sizable tank, the button eventually called.

Vanessa Kade: {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Button: {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Both players were on flush draws with the button also having a straight draw to go along with it. However, Kade's king-high had her way out in front.

The {j-Hearts} arrived on the river and Kade's king was good enough to double her up back to 80,000.
