Crawton Correctly Folds Top Set

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on a flop showing the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} with a pot of 5,200 in the middle. Daniel Barber was in the big blind and led for 4,500 which Matthew Crawton decided to call, under the gun.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}. Barber check-called a bet of 8,500.

The river came the {5-Clubs} to put four to a straight on the board. Barber led with a near pot-size bet of 30,000. Crawton put his head in his hands and looked in pain. After over a minute he folded {q-}{q-} face up. Barber gave Crawton a bit of a morale boost by showing him the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flopped nut straight to assure him he made the correct laydown.
