Katz's Aces Good for Knockout

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

After a limp from early position, the button put in a raise to 2,000. Cary Katz, the small blind, put in a four bet to 6,000. The big blind and limper got out of the way, putting the action back on the button. He thought for a minute or so, before tossing in a stack of red chips, for a five bet to 27,000. Katz moved all in for a six bet and the button snap called as the player at risk.

Button: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Cary Katz: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Katz had his opponent dominated, and the {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} runout did nothing to change that. Katz scooped the pot while his opponent headed for the rail. The table continued discussing the hand as the next round of cards were being dealt out, and the early position limper shared that he folded pocket tens, and would have turned a set.

Meanwhile, across the table, Alex Foxen has crossed over the 10,000 mark as he attempts to capture his second bracelet of the summer.
