Gu Gets it Through

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up in a heads-up pot with about 8,200 in the middle. The flop of {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} had just shown up.

After three-betting preflop, Chris Gu led for 2,000 from the big blind. His opponent on his left was under the gun and raised to 4,400.

Gu thought for about a minute before three-betting the flop to 12,000. His opponent thought for a bit before tossing her cards into the muck, showing an {a-Spades} while doing so.

"Come on, show the bluff, the PokerNews guy is here," said a tablemate.

Gu laughed, thought about showing, but mucked his cards face down as he raked the pot.
