Woods Hits Trips to Earn Nice Early Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The under-the-gun player opened to 600 and Blake Woods three-bet to 1,800 from the hijack. The cutoff cold-called and the initial raiser also joined the party.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Woods continued for 2,300. The cutoff called and the under-the-gun player got out of the way.

Woods asked the cutoff if they wanted to check the rest of the hand down and the cutoff agreed before the two were informed that they were not allowed to do so.

They had already tapped the table on the {k-Hearts} turn and on the {9-Hearts} river, after being warned, Woods fired a bet of 3,000. His opponent folded and Woods showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} after he scooped the pot.
