Cruz Gets Lucky
A player in middle position opened to 130,000 and was called by Gilbert Cruz in the small blind as well as the big blind player.
All three players checked through the 
flop to see the 
turn. Cruz then led out for 475,000 only to be met by a raise to 1,000,000 from the big blind player. The middle position player folded to send the action back to Cruz. After some thought, he made the call.
The 
river put four to a straight on the board and Cruz pushed out a hefty bet that looked to be around 1,000,000. His opponent snapped it off. Cruz turned over 
for the rivered straight, drawing incredulous looks from the rest of the table as the big blind mucked.
"I was gonna bluff anyway," Cruz said, perhaps in response to said looks.
Regardless of the nature of the hand, the huge pot has sent Cruz shooting up the leaderboard.
