Hands #140-141: Jorstad and Duek Battle it Out

Level 41 : Blinds 1,250,000/2,500,000, 2,500,000 ante

Hand #140: Espen Jorstad raised to 5,000,000 holding the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Michael Duek called on the button with the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Jeffrey Farnes defended his big blind with {8-Spades}{5-Spades} for a suited three-gapper.

The flop was {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and all three players checked. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and it checked to Duek who bet 10,000,000. Farnes folded but Jorstad called. The river was the {9-Clubs} and both players checked. Jorstad had the best of it with queens and nines to win the pot.

Hand 141: Michael Duek raised to 5,500,000 from the cutoff and Espen Jorstad defended his big blind.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Jorstad checked and Duek bet 3,500,000. Jorstad called and the turn was the {a-Diamonds}. Both players checked and the river was the {6-Spades}. Players checked again and Jorstad showed {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Duek tabled {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and won the pot.
