Lococo Finds Help to Oust Opponent

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo

On a {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, Alejandro Lococo was in the big blind and facing a jam for 700,000 by a middle position player. Lococo deliberated and eventually put in the chips.

At-Risk Player: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Alejandro Lococo: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

"Keep it low," the at-risk player pleaded.

The dealer did not keep it low, as he put down the {k-Clubs} onto the felt, causing the at-risk player to react with an exclamation of "Damn!". The {j-Spades} completed the board to confirm the result.

"Sick, that is absolutely sick... that's why I didn't want you calling," said the eliminated player as he made his exit from the table. Meanwhile, the Argentinian "Papo MC" moved over the 2.5 million chip mark as he continues his hopeful journey for another final table after his seventh-place finish in last year's Main Event.

Nathanael Kogel
Nathanael Kogel

In a hand relayed to PokerNews just after the fact, Nathanael Kogel opened to 50,000 and Rigoberto Rodriguez raised to 200,000. Kogel four-bet to 500,000 and Rodriguez went all in, covering Kogel. Rodriguez snap-called.

Nathanael Kogel: {k-}{k-}
Rigoberto Rodriguez: {a-}{a-}

The flop came {9-}{10-}{2-} but a {k-} shocked the table on the turn.

A {4-} came on the river and Kogel could thank his lucky stars as his chip stack ballooned to 3,400,000.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, was left with around 550,000 behind.

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Shelby Wells opened to 40,000 from the hijack and Adrian Attenborough three-bet to 180,000 from the big blind. Wells called and the dealer fanned the flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Attenborough led out with a bet of 175,000 and Wells quickly called. The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Attenborough put together a bet of 375,000 this time. Wells responded with a raise to 975,000 and Attenborough instantly mucked his cards.

Did Wells have the goods or was she up to some"funky" sh*t? Tune into her Twitter to find out.

William Smith
William Smith

William Smith opened to 40,000 from early position and a middle position player moved all in for 355,000. Loni Hui called in the hijack, and action folded back to Smith who called.

The dealer fanned the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Smith bet 220,000, causing Hui to lay down her hand.

At-Risk Player: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
William Smith: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Smith had his opponent in rough shape as the {2-Clubs} fell on the turn, and the {a-Hearts} completed the board to secure the pot for Smith, while his opponent made his way to the payout desk.

With under 500 players remaining in the Main Event, the players are going on their final 20-minute break of the night. Over the past two hours, there has been plenty of movement near the top of the leaderboard with Aaron Mermelstein regaining the chip lead. When the players return, they will play one more level before the bagging and tagging process begins. Here is a look at some of the highlights from the past level.

Luong Holds to Oust Yang

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Yao Yin set the hand in motion by raising to 40,000 from under the gun. Wilson Luong called in middle position before Win Yang jammed for 250,000 from the cutoff. Yin folded but Luong flicked in calling chips.

Win Yang: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Wilson Luong: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Yang had 14 outs following the {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop but would need to find one on the river after the {5-Clubs} turn changed nothing. The {6-Spades} completed the board and Luong grew his seven-figure stack.
