Dobric Jams Into Setna

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Jimmy Setna
Jimmy Setna

Matija Dobric raised to 1,200,000 in the hijack with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} and then called a three-bet to 4,400,000 by Jimmy Setna in the small blind, who held the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Both headed to the {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop on which Setna continued for 2,500,000 and received a quick call.

The {a-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Setna now settled for check, which prompted a bet worth 7,000,000 by Dobric and a call by Setna.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Setna checked once more and Dobric emptied the clip with a shove for an effective 21,800,000. The Croatian had started the hand with just trey million more and that sent Setna into the tank for more than four minutes. He checked the cards and his remaining stack several times and eventually folded to stay in contention.

Su Finds an Ace on the River

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Matthew Su raised it up to 1,200,000 in early position and was called by David Diaz and Jimmy Setna in the blinds. The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the blinds checked to Su who continued with a bet of 1,200,000. Diaz called and Setna stepped aside.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and both players checked to the {a-Spades} on the river. Diaz checked again and Su counted out a bet of 4,200,000. Diaz gave it some thought and eventually looked him up. Su flipped over {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair and Diaz conceded the pot.

Kenny Tran Eliminated in 17th Place ($410,000)

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Kenny Tran
Kenny Tran

Tom Kunze jammed in the small blind and Kenny Tran called all in for his 4,125,000 chips in the big blind.

Kenny Tran: {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Tom Kunze: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Tran was pipped and the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop meant he was looking for a ten to improve to a straight. The {a-Hearts} turn provided chop outs, but the {k-Hearts} completed the board to give Kunze a flush, while Tran was eliminated in 17th place for $410,000.

Rebei Takes a Big Hit After Diaz' Hero Call

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
David Diaz
David Diaz

Adrian Attenborough raised to 1,200,000 and Aaron Duczak then jammed for 6,400,000 in the big blind as the far shortest stack at the table. The instant fold by Attenborough followed and Duczak won the pot.

Shortly after, David Diaz opened to 1,400,000 with the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Karim Rebei flat-called on the button with the {j-Spades}{9-Spades} to see a flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}. Diaz checked over to Rebei, who bet 2,750,000 and the swift check-call by Diaz followed

The {2-Hearts} turn brought a second flush draw on the board and Diaz checked again after a few seconds of consideration. Rebei now made it 3,700,000 to go and Diaz came along albeit after more thinking.

What followed was the {9-Hearts} on the river, which completed a potential back door flush. Diaz checked the third street in a row and Rebei fired a hefty bet of 12,000,000. More than three minutes surpassed but Diaz called with the second pair to win a seizable pot and leave Rebei short.

Kunze Turns Boat to Double Through Tran

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Tom Kunze
Tom Kunze

Tom Kunze opened to 1,200,000 in early position, Kenny Tran called in middle position, and Vadim Rozin called in the cutoff.

The dealer fanned the {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Kunze bet 1,700,000, Tran called, and Rozin folded.

The {9-Hearts} landed on the turn and Kunze bet 3,800,000. Tran tanked for a bit over two minutes before calling.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Kunze jammed for 13,100,000. Tran deliberated for just under two minutes and put in the calling chips.

Kunze revealed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a turned boat, while Tran's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} was no good and he was left with under ten big blinds.

Michael Duek

Espen Jorstad raised to 1,200,000 in early position and Michael Duek three-bet to 3,500,000.

Action folded back to Jorstad who called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Jorstad checked. Duek bet 1,200,000 and Jorstad called.

On the {q-Clubs} turn, Jorstad checked again and this time Duek checked.

Su Beats Farnes in Showdown

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Matthew Su limped the small blind and Jeffrey Farnes checked in the big blind. On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Su bet 600,000 and Farnes came along to see the {2-Hearts} on the turn. Su now check-called for 1,900,000 and they checked the {4-Clubs} on the river.

Su won the pot with the {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for the top pair, as Farnes only had {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for bottom pair and a missed straight draw.

Attenborough Hero-Calls for His Tournament Life

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Adrian Attenborough
Adrian Attenborough

Matija Dobric opened to 1,200,000 in middle position and Adrian Attenborough called from the small blind. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Attenborough checked to Dobric who continued for 1,200,000. Attenborough check-raised to 4,200,000 and Dobric responded with a three-bet to 9,000,000. Attenborough called and the {6-Clubs} rolled off on the turn.

Attenborough started with another check and Dobric put together a bet of 5,500,000. Attenborough still called and the {2-Hearts} completed the board. Attenborough checked for the third time and Dobric shoved all in, putting Attenborough to the test for his remaining 23,200,000 chips.

Attenborough went into the tank with his head resting on the table as he deliberated his tournament life. After nearly seven minutes in the tank, Attenborough finally called it off. Dobric turned over {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} for just ace-high while Attenborough showed the hero call with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} to double up.
