Everyone Loves a Chop Pot

Sam Soverel bet 450,000 from early position, leaving just 125,000 behind. Justin Bonomo made the call from the small blind.

The flop came 2♦3♥5♦ and Bonomo bet 200,000. Soverel called and was at risk.

Sam Soverel: K♥K♦
Justin Bonomo: 4♦4♣

Soverel was ahead with the overpair but Bonomo had many outs, having flopped an open-ended straight draw. One of those outs came for Bonomo on the 6♣ turn which left Soverel with no chance of outright winning the pot.

The river came the 4♠ leaving a six-high straight on the board, and both players chopped the pot.
