Cary Katz and Andrew Robl were heads-up in a three-bet pot which got inflated so much that it turned into the largest pot of the tournament thus far. Picking up the action on the river with the board reading 10♠10♥2♠7♣J♣, the pot already had over 2,500,000 in the middle.
Katz jammed all in for 2,225,000 on the river and Robl quickly called off his stack of 2,025,000. Katz turned over 9♠8♠ for a backdoor straight after flopping a flush draw while Robl was left stunned with A♥10♦. Robl was sent to the rail just shy of the money while Katz is now the runaway chip leader.
