Attoun Bests McEachern at Showdown

Gabriel Attoun limped in from the hijack before Lon McEachern did the same from the small blind. The big blind checked his option.

The flop came 8♣Q♣8♠ and the blinds checked to Attoun, who bet 1,500. Only McEachern called.

The turn brought in the J♦, which saw the action check through. On the 9♥ river, McEachern led for 2,200 and was swiftly called by Attoun.

McEachern could only table 6♣6♦, for a pair of sixes, while Attoun had a better pair with his K♥Q♠.
