Eun Shin Puts Massive Pressure on Cotant

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With a sizable pot already brewed, the flop read J103. Adam Cotant was faced with a bet of 42,000 after checking to Byung Eun Shin. After some deliberation, Cotant made the call.

The 9 landed on the turn and Cotant checked once again. Eun Shin cut out a pile of red chips with a few yellows on top for a total of 84,000 and slid it across the line. Cotant went into the tank for several minutes, counting out the exact amount of chips to call.

Another few seconds passed and he pitched the cards into the muck as the dealer shipped the pot to Eun Shin.

Piderit Makes "Very Nitty Check-Back"

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Barry Schultz raised to 13,000 in middle position before immediately getting three-bet to 28,000 by Caleb Piderit next to act. The table folded behind and Schultz made the call.

On the QJ7 flop, Schultz check-called a bet of 24,000. When the 8 hit the turn, Schultz checked again and Piderit fired out a bet of 43,000. Schultz wasted no time making the call.

The 3 hit the river and Schultz instantly checked. Piderit gave it a few seconds before knuckling the table as he said, "I think I win, very nitty check-back."

Schultz tabled AQ for top pair top kicker, but was shown the bad news as Piderit flopped middle set, tabling the JJ.

Moscati looked to be in disgust as the hands were revealed, however, the 1072 flop changed his mood, giving him top set. He was able to fade the two outs of his opponent as the board completed with the 4 on the turn and the 2 on the river.

The flop of 46A was no help to Liedtke, but the door to victory would swing open ever so slightly on the Q turn, providing Liedtke with five more cards to win. However, the 2 on the river would slam it shut, sending Liedtke to the rail.
