Hoebe's Queens Can't Hold as he Lands on the Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Shouyi Gao raised to 10,000 in the cutoff before Jay Hoebe jammed his last 50,000 in the middle from the small blind. The big blind quickly got out of the way and Gao made the call.

Jay Hoebe: QQ
Shouyi Gao: KJ

Hoebe was looking to fade the overcard but the king came in the window as the dealer fanned a flop of K92. The 6 landed on the turn, giving Gao a flush draw as well and Hoebe couldn't find the off-suit queen as the 2 completed the board.

Lon McEachern
Lon McEachern

Lon McEachern nursed a short stack to successfully cash this year's Tournament of Champions, then moved all-in shortly after the bubble burst when it folded around to him on the button, for his remaining 7,000.

Jennifer Lin called from the small blind, as well as, Jason Somerville from the big blind, and both players checked down a board of 67664.

Lon McEachern: 55
Jennifer Lin: Q7
Jason Somerville: XX

Unfortunately for McEachern, Lin's full house would best his, eliminating one of poker's most recognizable voices in 97th place.

With about 120,000 in the middle, the flop read 332. Dakota Britton tossed out a bet of 55,000, forcing Zachary Zaret to quickly fold and the action was now on Jennifer Lin.

Lin looked at the clock as she seemingly had a decision and eventually pushed her entire stack of roughly 150,000 across the line. Britton instantly tossed his cards into the muck as the dealer shipped the pot to Lin on the bubble.

Jennings Eliminated Three Away from the Money

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Frank Lagodich opened to 10,000 from early position and Greg Jennings moved all-in for his remaining 11,000 after it folded to him on the button. Caleb Piderit called from the big blind and Lagodich completed the additional 1,000, as there was no option to re-raise.

The three players saw and flop of A810 and Piderit and Lagodich both checked.

The turn brought the K and Piderit checked again. Lagodich bet 15,000 and Piderit folded.

Greg Jennings: AQ
Frank Lagodich: AK

Jennings got the bad news immediately and quickly exited when he realized his hand could not improve, as the 6 proved to be inconsequential.

Britton Takes One from Somerville

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jason Somerville raised to 10,000 in the hijack and both Chad Jenkins and Dakota Britton called in the blinds.

The dealer spread a flop of 432, and all three players quickly checked.

The 7 hit the turn and Jenkins checked once again before Britton made a bet of 12,000. Only Somerville made the call.

When the 3 completed the board, Britton continued to fire, pushing 22,000 across the line. Somerville thought about it for a few moments before tossing his cards in the muck.

Hotte-Mckinnon Bets Big into Two Opponents

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player under the gun raised to 11,000 finding a caller to his immediate left in Justin Hotte-Mckinnon, the small blind defended and all three players went to a flop of 295.

The original raiser continued his line for 16,000 and both players came along.

The turned 10 saw no additional chips added to the pot and the A fell on the river. Both players out of position checked over to Hotte-Mckinnon who bet 75,000 deterring either of them from reaching a showdown and winning him the pot.
