Kenower Gets Sarb to Lay Down Same

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Andrew Kenower bet 150,000 on a 475 flop. John Sarb contemplated, moving his cards toward the muck, then pulling them back, before finally flipping the ace king face up.

Kenower smiled and turned over AK. "You had outs," Sarb noted.

Hooshmand Runs Into Aces

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Dennis John opened from under the gun to 65,000, but he was raised by Ahmad Hooshmand on his left, who moved all in for a total of 430,000 chips. All the other players folded to Steve McCluskey in the big blind, who also said "all in" with way more chips. Seeing this action, John folded.

Ahmad Hooshmand: AK
Steve McCluskey: AA

It was bad timing for Hooshmand, who couldn't do much against the best possible hand. After the board 510KQ3, he stood up and went to collect his payout. Finishing 193rd, he won $2,223.

Pizarro Does Not Have Seven Deuce

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Tyler Pizarro bet 65,000 on a 103A flop. Jacky Lee folded in the big blind, and Charles Johnson in the big blind put in the check raise to 250,000.

Pizarro counted his chips, and then declared all in for 1,100,000, enough to put Johnson all in. Johnson grimaced at the flop before eventually releasing. "Trips?" he asked, but Pizarro didn't answer.

"Show seven deuce," goaded a tablemate.

"I didn't have seven deuce," smiled Pizarro. "Not this time."

Guertler's Pair Holds

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Down to only three blinds, Florian Guertler had no choice but to move all-in with a pair in early position. In the big blind, Yota Yamaguchi saw an Ace in his hands and called.

Florian Guertler: 55
Yota Yamaguchi: A8

Stress was clearly visible on Guertler's face. But on a Q2K105 board, he could take a deep breath as he doubled up.
