Ashton Doubles Through Arieh
Level 17
No-Limit Hold'em
Matthew Ashton raised to 45,000 from early position and was three-bet by Josh Arieh in late position to 155,000, with Ashton making the call.
Ashton check-called a bet of 80,000 on a 7♠9♥Q♣ flop and the two players took a J♣ turn. Ashton checked and after some deliberation, Arieh announced all-in, with Ashton snap-calling.
Matthew Ashton: 9♦9♠
Josh Arieh: A♦10♥
Arieh was behind the flopped set of Ashton and would need an eight or a ten to make a straight to win the hand. However, it was a blank on the river in the form of the 2♥ and Ashton got the full double-up.
