Obst Goes Big
Level 18
James Obst opened to 65,000 from early position and was called by Daniel Alaei in the cutoff.
Obst checked following the 3♥6♣Q♥ flop and then called after Alaei bet 75,000.
The 9♣ turn saw Obst check for a second time, prompting Alaei to bet again, this time sizing up to 340,000. Obst made the call.
On the A♣ river Obst took over the betting lead, pushing a hefty 600,000 into the middle. Alaei considered for some time but did fold to send a healthy pot to Obst.
