Black's a Gunnar - Wedde Nearing Chip Lead
Level 20
: 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Gunnar Wedde bet 35,000 from middle position and was met with a raise of 130,000 from Andy Black in the big blind. Wedde announced all-in and covered Black who had 600,000 total at the start of the hand.
The Irishman went deep into the tank and after a couple of minutes made the call.
Andy Black: A♠J♥
Gunnar Wedde: K♣K♥
Black was in bad shape and was virtually drawing dead after Wedde flopped a full house on the K♦9♣9♥. Wedde improved to quads after the 2♦K♥ completed the board.
The usually vocal Black stood at the table silent shaking his head waiting for his slip to take to the pay cage.
