An action-packed Day 2 of Event #50: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship saw Dimitar Danchev amass the chip lead, bagging a total of 3,705,000. Danchev has lifetime earnings of $5,992,992 and is looking to capture his second World Series of Poker gold bracelet as he advances to Day 3 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. He won his first bracelet just last year in 2022 in the $10,000 Heads Up online event, taking home $327,668.

Some 266 entrants began the day from the starting field of 688 on Day 1. There were 43 new entries who bought in at the start of Day 2, bringing the total entries to 731. Only 42 remained at the end of the night, battling for the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and $1,309,232 of the $6,795,300 prize pool,

Following Danchev with more than 1,000,000 fewer chips is bracelet winner Sam Soverel with a stack of 2,340,000 and right behind that is William Kopp with 1,890,000 to round the top three.

Day 2 was action-packed, with the 309 starting players almost reaching the money by the dinner break. When the break hit, only 113 players remained, with 110 reaching the minimum payout of $16,088.

Shortly after the break, hand-for-hand play was announced, and it was Ben Yu and Jake Schindler who ended up stone-bubbling the event.

Bracelet winners to make the cash but not quite make it to Day 3 include Jeremy Ausmus (98th), Dan Smith (95th), and Jesse Lonis (92nd).

Notables and bracelet winners to bag at the end of Day 2 included Dylan Weisman (1,855,000) who won the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament in 2021 for $166,461, Keith Lehr (895,000), Juha Helppi (465,000), Jaspal Brar (310,000), and Scott Bohlman (310,000).

All returning players are guaranteed a payout of $28,905 and action will resume at 2 p.m. local time on Friday, June 23rd, on Level 21, with blinds of 10,000/25,000 and a 25,000 big blind ante. The field is expected to play down to the final five before streaming on PokerGO begins.

The PokerNews team will continue to bring you all of the action as we get set to crown a new WSOP champion.
