Ireland Improves to Trips to Double

Anderson Ireland raised to 30,000 in middle position and only David Wang made the call in the hijack.

When the Q♠10♣7♥ flop hit the felt, Ireland bet 40,000 and Wang dropped a stack of greens for a maximum raise of the pot. Ireland had 120,000 total and quickly called.

"All of the blockers," said a tablemate as both hands were on their backs.

The 10♠ turn and 4♦ river improved Ireland to trip tens, which meant he was able to keep his seat.

Danchev Does Some Damage to the Chip Leader

Dimitar Danchev raised from the button to 36,000, Stanislav Halatenko in the small blind called, as did the big blind.

On the flop of 7♣8♦J♦ Halatenko took the lead and bet out for 60,000. Both players called.

The Q♥ on the turn saw Halatenko bet the pot for 300,000. The big blind folded while Danchev in the big blind shoved all in.

"Nice hand" Halatenko said as he folded 10♣10♠ face up.

Scott Bohlman limped the small blind and Ky Nguyen checked his option.

The dealer fanned a flop of Q♥7♠2♣ and Bohlman bet 12,000. Nguyen called.

The K♥ hit the turn and Bohlman fired again, this time for 40,000. Nguyen thought about it for a moment before announcing a raise to the maximum and Bohlman called off his stack of 166,000.

Nguyen had flopped bottom set and was looking to dodge the open-ended straight draw and flush draw of Bohlman but the A♠ river completed his straight as he dragged the pot.

The under-the-gun player limped in, as did the hijack, cutoff, button and small blind. Christoph Cannuli in the big blind checked his option.

Six players saw a flop of 5♦2♥A♣. The player in the small blind thinned the field with a bet of 70,000 as only Cannuli called.

The J♠ turn saw the small blind commit the rest of their stack to the middle and Cannuli called.

The river fell the 7♥. Cannuli lay claim to this pot and sent another opponent to the rail.

Adam Hendrix raised to 20,000 under the gun and the hijack called before Goran Urumovic jammed his 73,000 on the button. Hendrix put in another raise, pushing 220,000 across the line. The hijack went into the tank for a few minutes and tossed his cards into the muck.

The dealer fanned a flop of A♣J♥7♣ and Harwood continued for 100,000. Smith had slightly less and snap-called.

Smith was way out in front with his flopped set of jacks and the 4♥ turn was looking promising but the dreaded K♣ hit the river, giving Harwood a set of kings and Smith headed to the payout desk.

The flop came 2♦Q♠3♥ and Seidel moved all in for his remaining stack. Castillo quickly called to put Seidel at risk once again.

The under-the-gun player called and Smith went all in for his remaining 126,000. Both players called giving Smith an opportunity to triple up.

With action still on the side, the flop came 2♥3♥6♣. Brar went all in himself and the original raiser folded.
