Picking up the action on the K83Q turn, Roger Teska checked and then called a bet by Arthur Morris for 55,000. The 5 river completed the board and Teska checked once more. Morris now bet 135,000 and Teska tank-called to see his opponent tap the table.

Teska revealed his AAKJ and that was good enough to win the pot.

Kornuth Gets the Double Knockout

Level 11 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Action started with a limp under the gun by Chance Kornuth. It folded to Anh Do in middle position who raised to 23,000. It then made it to 2023 bracelet winner Michael Moncek in the big blind who potted it to 77,000. Action was now back on Kornuth who put in the back-four-bet to a pot sizing of 257,000.

Do went into the tank and eventually flat-called with about 100,000 behind. Moncek then went all in for less than the four-bet and the players were off to a flop three ways with Moncek all in.

The 10Q5 flop landed and Kornuth already had enough chips out to cover Do's stack. Do called and the cards hit their backs.

Michael Moncek: A7K8
Anh Do: 10987
Chance Kornuth: AAJJ

Kornuth was behind in equity going to the turn. It landed a Q giving Kornuth a commanding lead but still needing to fade tons of outs. The river was a 5 and Kornuth would scoop a massive pot to vault him even higher on the leaderboard and send two players to the rail.

On a heads-up completed board of 91088J, Aaron Mermelstein bet the pot of 90,000 and the action was on his opponent, Andrew Ige, who went into the tank.

After a while, Ige made the call but was then shown AJJ6 for jacks full on the river and Ige quickly mucked.

"What is it with you today?" someone at the table joked to Mermelstein, who just laughed and shrugged as he stacked his new chips.
