Thorpe Doubles in the Dying Minutes of Day 2, Still the Shortest
Level 17
: Limits 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Mike Thorpe: A♦5♦/3♥4♠K♥6♣/K♣
Joao Vieira: Q♦Q♠/3♦A♣2♦4♣/J♥
Mike Thorpe was all-in for his last big bet and Joao Vieira made the call.
Vieira's queens remained ahead up until sixth street, when both players had wheel draws and Thorpe already had a made low. Howver, seventh street brought Thorpe a king and thus a higher pair, causing him to scoop the pot in the final minutes of Day 2.
