Michael Rodrigues raised 800 from the cutoff and Ben Reed called from the small blind. Reed drew one, and Rodrigues took three. Reed led out for 1,200 and Rodrigues called. Each player then took one.
This time Reed checked, and Rodrigues made it 3,500 to go. Reed again took one, but Rodrigues patted. Reed checked to Rodrigues, perhaps hoping to set up the check-raise, but Rodrigues checked behind. Reed turned over 7x6x5x4x2x, Rodrigues mucked, and Reed took down an early big pot.
