Daniel Negreanu

In the last hand before the break, Daniel Negreanu bet 32,000 on the A58 flop and was called by the button.

The 3 turn saw Negreanu get the rest of his 43,400 chips into the middle, with his opponent folding after a few minutes of consideration.

"I had it all," said Negreanu as the players discussed their holdings while raking in the chips.

Bohlman Extracts Value

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Scott Bohlman opened to 3,500 from early position and received calls from John Monnette on the button as well as a player in the big blind.

Action checked through the 5A8 flop to the 7 turn at which point the big blind bet out 10,000. Bohlman called while Monnette folded to send the two remaining players to the river.

The 7 hit the felt on the river and saw the big blind bet again, this time pushing it up to 25,000. Bohlman counted out a raise to 107,000 which, after some thought, his opponent called. The big blind turned over A1032 but was left with just a quarter of the pot after Bohlman tabled AQ32.

Clark Eliminates Nahm and Vieira

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Stephen Nahm
Stephen Nahm

Taylor Clark opened to 3,000 from under the gun and was called by Stephen Nahm in middle position as well as Joao Vieira in the big blind.

Action checked to Nahm following the 8710 flop and he bet 10,800. Vieira responded by raising to 43,200 only to see Clark reraise enough to force both of his opponents all in. Nahm and Vieira quickly called off for their tournament lives.

Stephen Nahm: A1042
Joao Vieira: A1032
Taylor Clark: AJ53

It was a fairly even fight with Nahm and Vieira set to split a low should it materialize on the turn or river. That did not happen, however, as the board ran out 8Q to improve Clark to a flush and send both of his opponents out of the tournament.

Kelsall Gets a Second Life

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Andrew Kelsall opened to 3,000 from early position and was called by Daniel Negreanu on the button. A player in the big blind then three-bet to 12,500 with Kelsall responding by moving all in for 16,200. Negreanu just called as did the big blind to put Kelsall at risk.

The flop came Q43, prompting the big blind to check to Negreanu who potted for 50,100. That got a fold from the big blind and the cards were on their backs.

Andrew Kelsall: A1065
Daniel Negreanu: AQ63

Negreanu was ahead with his pair of queens but Kelsall had a flush draw and managed to hit without a low being put on the board to secure a full triple up and second life in the tournament.
