Weng Doubles to Stay Alive

Level 4 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 2,500 on the button and Bin Weng defended from the big blind. The flop came J88 and Negreanu continued with a bet of 2,000. Weng check-raised to 5,800 and Negreanu countered with a three-bet to 12,000. Weng jammed all in for 28,700 and Negreanu called it off.

Bin Weng: 86
Daniel Negreanu: QQ

Weng flopped trip eights to take the lead but Negreanu claimed he had backdoor draws to go with his over pair. The 9 on the turn gave Negreanu some more outs but the 7 on the river bricked out as Weng doubled up to survive.
