Ibrahim Gets There on the River

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

The pot stood at 4,300,000 with two players looking at a board that read 3JJ. Both Anthony Ibrahim, under the gun, and Aaron Obrien, on the button, elected to check.

The turn came the 6 and Ibrahim bet out for 1,000,000. Obrien raised to 3,500,000 and Ibrahim called.

The river fell the K and the hand checked to a showdown. Ibrahim tabled AK. Obrien flashed the 6 as he announced "Nice river".

Liebert Doubles Until She Doesn't

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

Kathy Liebert had just found a double off a very short stack with the 23 when she made a flush, but that only brought her up to 1,00,000.

Shortly after she called called an all in from the player to her right with A7 but was bested by Joseph Roh's 97 when he flopped a nine.

Liebert made quite the deep run but will have to keep chasing the gold elsewhere.
