Correia Nabs Juanda's Bounty

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a hand relayed to PokerNews by Francisco Correia, Correia raised to 8,000 from middle position and John Juanda moved all-in for 42,000 from late position, with Correia making the call.

John Juanda: 8x8x
Francisco Correia: A5

Correia caught a diamond on the Q6x10x flop, but would still need an ace or running cards to catch up and score the knockout.

The K on the turn would get Correia halfway there, and the 3 on the river completed the flush to eliminate Juanda and collect the $2,015 bounty.

Sangannagari Building a Stack

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sridhar Sangannagari
Sridhar Sangannagari

David Peters bet 8,000 from under the gun and was called by early position, Sridhar Sangannagari in the cutoff and the big blind.

Action was checked round to Sangannagari after the monotone flop of A102 and he bet 21,000. This gained quick folds from the big blind and Peters, while the early position player took a little bit longer to throw his cards into the muck.

The early position player asked "Did you have it?" Sangannagari wryly responded "It was a very good flop" as he added chips to his stack.

Hansen Sigh Calls Weisner Shove to Double

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

With 37,000 in the middle on a flop of 865, Melanie Weisner announced all in from the big blind to put Todd Hansen at risk in middle position for 55,000. Hansen looked at his cards again and exhaled cautiously "I guess I call."

Todd Hansen: JJ
Melanie Weisner: Q5

Hansen was ahead with the over-pair, but had to dodge a ton of outs as Weisner had a pair of fives and a flush draw. The run out was safe for Hansen as the 10K completed the board and a much-needed double-up close to the bubble.

Weisner Gets the Double After Beat From Hansen

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Melanie Weisner

A player from early position raised to 10,000, and Melanie Weisner moved all-in for 85,000 from late position, getting the call from the original raiser.

Melanie Weisner: AJ
Early Position Player: JJ

Weisner was well behind the jacks of the early position player heading into the flop but would take over the lead after the dealer rolled out the 7A6 board.

The 3 on the turn and the 8 on the river would be of no help to the early position player, and secured Weisner the much-needed double.

Hellmuth Catches a Bluff

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened to 13,000 from under the gun, and a player in the big blind defended.

Both players checked the K710 flop leading to the 3 turn. The big blind bet 35,000, and Hellmuth made the call.

The big blind fired again on the K river, this time opting to bet a smaller size of 15,000. Hellmuth immediately made the call.

Hellmuth tabled QQ for two pair, kings and queens, while the big blind could only showdown 98 for a missed straight draw turned into a bluff on the river.

Hall of Famer Enright Triples Up

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Barbara Enright
Barbara Enright

The player in middle position bet 10,000 and was shoved on by Barbara Enright on the button for 20,000. The small blind moved all in for 157,000 and put the middle position player deep into the tank. They precisely said, "I need about 43 seconds." When that time elapsed, they folded.

Barbara Enright: AQ
Small Blind: A10

Enright had their opponent dominated, and there was no help for the small blind on the board of K85AJ as Enright secured the triple-up.
