Brad Owen
Brad Owen

Brad Owen was sat with a fresh starting stack of ten red chips and was in an all-in altercation with the player two seats to his right.

Brad Owen: AK
Opponent: QQ

The flop fanned out 91010 with no help for Owen. The turned 10 did give him one extra out in the form of the last ten but a less dramaric K rolled off on the river, awarding him a double plus the blinds.

Hastings Makes a Hasty Exit; [Removed:550] Finds Fortune

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A short-stacked Brian Hastings called the shove of Pushpa [Removed:550] and a flip commenced.

Brian Hastings: AK
Pushpa [Removed:550]: 55

The board ran out no luck for Hastings as it rolled 106J97.

[Removed:550] then went on to tell her table a funny story, as she had hopped in Event #83: $1,500 Short Deck without knowing the rules, in particular the switched hand ranking of flushes and full houses, as well as the way the ace worked both ways.

She did go on to cash the event and looked up the rules after the fact, making it a happy mistake.

The river came the 6. Brown checked, Hunt bet 15,000 and Brown moved all in with a covering stack. Hunt made the call.

Kristin Foxen
Kristin Foxen

With the board already fully dealt, and reading 66737, the player in the hijack seat bet 16,000 in to a pot of just over 30,000.

Kristen Foxen on the button thought for a second before making the call.
