No Gold for Mr. Gold

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jamie Gold, Main Event, Suffle Up And Deal, Horseshoe Feature Table
Jamie Gold, Main Event, Suffle Up And Deal, Horseshoe Feature Table

Tracy Nguyen raised it up in early position and Jamie Gold shipped all in for just over 200,000 in the hijack. Hermilo Garzavillareal reshoved all in from the cutoff as the biggest stack at the table. The rest of the table folded including Nguyen and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Jamie Gold: AxJx
Hermilo Garzavillareal: AxKx

The flop came KxQx4x to give Garzavillareal a pair of kings but Gold picked up a straight draw. The 8x and 9x runout bricked out for Gold and he made his way to the payout desk, not quite earning the $12,000,000 that he did back in 2006.

Jason Somerville
Jason Somerville

Andrew Benedict opened to 22,000 in early position and was called by the cutoff. Jason Somerville three-bet to 110,000 from the small blind and Benedict ripped all in for 493,000. The cutoff quickly folded but Somerville asked for a count which took over two minutes. Somerville thought for an additional minute and then made the call.

Andrew Benedict: KK
Jason Somerville: AK

The dealer fanned the flop of AJ8 with the ace in the window to give Somerville a commanding lead. The 10 on the turn provided some chop outs but the 8 on the river sent Benedict to the payout desk.

Quiambao Runs Into The Nuts

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Gabi Livshitz opened from middle position to 22,000 and was called by Cezar Quiambao in the small blind and by the big blind.

On the flop AK10, Livshitz bet 30,000. However this time, only Quiambao check-called to see the turn 4, where Livshitz fired out a second barrel of 85,000. Quiambao called once again.

The Q landed on the river, and Quiambao bet 110,000. But Livshitz decided to raise all in for approximately 800,000 chips. Quiambao went into the tank and eventually called with his 400,000 chips left.

Cezar Quiambao: AQ
Gabi Livshitz: J10

"The Nuts," said Livshitz when he flipped his cards. Quiambao only had two pairs. Not enough to beat a straight, so he has been eliminated.
