Collopy Takes from Kim

Jim Collopy opened from under the gun and received calls from Dohak Kim in the cutoff and the player in the big blind.

All three players drew two cards on the first draw.

Kim raised after Collopy bet and Collopy called.

Collopy stood pat and Kim took one. Collopy led with a bet which Kim called.

On the final draw, both players stood pat and Collopy check-called a bet from Kim.

Kim revealed a king badugi which was no good as Collopy rolled over J73A.

"I'm learning new tricks every hand!" Collopy commented as he dragged the pot.

Dennis Maschke opened the hijack and Michael Boik three-bet on the button. In the small blind, Sumir Mathur called all in and Maschke made it four bets which Boik called.

Mathur drew one, Maschke stood pat, and Boik drew one. Maschke bet the remainder of his chips and Boik called.

Mathur took one again while Maschke and Boik stood pat.

On the final draw, Mathur drew while while his opponents remained pat.

Boik revealed 742A while the other hands were not shown. The seven-four badugi was good enough to eliminate both players as Boik raked in a sizeable pot.

Tran was drawing one to see if he could improve against Kakani's queen badugi. He squeezed the card and then flipped over a 6 for an eight-six badugi which was good for the pot.

On the second drawing round, Thorpe drew one, Alsaden drew two, and Gerhart stood pat. Once more action checked to Gerhart who bet and only Alsaden called.

Alsaden drew one and Gerhart stood pat, prompting Alsaden to bet and Gerhart winced as he put in the calling chips.

"I made a seven," said Alsaden, turning over 732A for a seven-perfect which was good for the pot.

John Torrez opened the hijack and then called when Dominick Sarle three-bet from the cutoff.

Torrez drew one while Sarle stood pat. Torrez check-called a bet from Sarle.

Torrez took one again and check-raised to put Sarle at risk of elimination.

Torrez decided to stay pat on the final draw, which put Sarle in a difficult position and he decided to break a badugi.

Torrez revealed 7654 and Sarle was already drawing dead as he showed 832. To add insult to injury, Sarle drew the 4 to make a worse badugi as he exited to tournament area.
