Barry Greenstein and Shaun Deeb Survive Gladiators of Poker Day 1c
At the end of Day 1c of Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em, Giovanny Rodriguez Ocampo of Columbia led the field with a stack of 3,010,000. Ocampo's stack puts him behind the Day 1b chip leader — and current tournament chip leader — Dan Heimiller who heads up the chip leaderboard with 3,875,000 in chips.
Another 5,669 players entered on Day 1c, bringing the total entries for the event up to 13,778 entries. Only 203 of these players bagged, bringing the total number of survivors for Day 2 up to 482. These numbers will continue to grow as there is another Day 1 flight still to go.
Among the Day 1c survivors are notables like Game of Gold star Olga Iermolcheva (830,000), $25k fantasy player Arthur Morris (680,000), and all-round poker legends Barry Greenstein (525,000) and Shaun Deeb (365,000).
They join a range of other bracelet winners like Roberto Romanello (2,200,000), Michael Moncek (1,575,000), Tamas Lendvai (895,000), Pete Chen (835,000), Mark Seif (700,000), and Brett Apter (600,000).
Day 1c starts at 10 a.m. local time on June 9. The survivors of all four Day 1 flights will then reconvene at 11 a.m. on June 10 for Day 2, when PokerNews' traditional coverage will return.
