Guagenti Chops with Seidel

Erik Seidel opened to 8,000 from the button and received calls from Todd Rodenborn in the small blind and Nick Guagenti in the big blind.

The flop came K62. The small blind checked, Guagenti bet 25,000, Seidel shoved, the small blind got out of the way and Guagenti, who was slightly covered, made the call.

Seidel improved to a boat on the K turn but Guagenti completed his low-draw on the 7 river and the two players chopped the pot.

Holley and Thibodaux Chop up Some of Duek’s Chips

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joshua Thibodaux raised to 6,000 from early position and was called by Michael Duek in the small blind and John Holley in the big blind.

It was checked to Thibodaux on the 439 flop and he continued for 8,000. Both Duek and Thibodaux called.

The 5 fell on the turn and it was again checked to Thibodaux, who fired 23,000 into the middle. Duek folded and Holley called.

Holley led out for a pot-sized bet on the 8 river and Thibodaux quickly called. Holley turned over K765 for a nine-high straight for the high and Thibodaux tabled AJ32 for the low.

Matusow Triples

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mike Matusow moved all in from middle position for 10,000, Tom Koral called from the button and Arthur Morris responded with a pot-sized raise. Koral got out of the way leaving Matusow at risk.

Foxen Finds a Double

Warren Sheaves opened to 6,000 from the hijack and Alex Foxen raised pot on the button. Action folded back around to Sheaves, who announced another raise to put Foxen all in for 33,500 total. Foxen called and a showdown was held.

The board ran out 102QKQ — improving Foxen to the nut flush for the double up.

Rapaski Takes from Foxen

Ryan Rapaski opened to 9,000 from the hijack and Alex Foxen defended from the big blind.

Both players checked the K10Q flop leading to the A turn. Foxen bet 8,500 and Rapaski called and then both players checked the 4 river.

Rapaski tabled AQ52 for two pair and Foxen mucked.

Elsewhere in the tournament area, Chad Eveslage was recently eliminated shortly after registering for the tournament at the start of the day.

Marks Gets Three Quarters

Viktor Blom opened to 7,000 from the cutoff and Austin Marks defended from the big blind.

The flop came 652 and Marks check-called a 4,000 continuation bet from Blom.

Marks check-called another bet from Blom on the 6 turn, this time for 18,000.

Both players checked the 8 river. Blom tabled A994 for a pair of nines and a six-low. Marks showed down A764 for the nut-flush and the same low to take three quarters of the pot.
