River Spike for Kyte
Level 12
: Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
On a heads-up turn of 9♥7♥4♣8♣, a player bet, Jon Kyte raised, and his opponent thought for a few seconds before he called.
The river fell the J♣ and it was checked to Kyte, who tossed out a final bet, which sent his opponent into the tank.
After over thirty seconds of head-shaking, he made the call and tabled 9♦9♠ for a flopped set, but it was no match for the A♣10♥ of Kyte for the rivered straight to scoop the pot.
"Iiyiyiyiyiy," his opponent sighed as he was left on life support.
"That's the third time I've seen you take down a goofy pot," tablemate Phil Hellmuth chuckled as Kyte dragged in the pot.
