Smith Turns The Nuts
Level 5
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Action was picked up on the turn in a hand between Dan Smith in the big blind and another player in the cutoff.
The board read 3♦7♥5♣4♠ and Smith bet 14,000 from the big blind which his opponent in the cutoff called.
On the river 3♥, Smith sized up to 60,000 and his opponent beat him into the pot.
Smith turned over 8♦6♠ for an eight-high straight, which had his opponent flash 6♣6♥ for an inferior seven-high straight as Smith raked in the pot.
