Shi Comes Out Firing

Level 9 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mike Shi
Mike Shi

Mike Shi open-raised from the cutoff and Aaron Johnson defended his big blind. Shi then continued for the minimum of 8,000 chips on the AJJ flop, which Johnson check-called.

On the 9 turn, Johnson checked once more before Shi piled in 42,000 chips. Johnson called again and the 5 river completed the board.

When Johnson checked for a third time, Shi put him all in for his remaining 68,000 chips. A quick fold followed as Shi expanded his big stack early on Day 2.
