Players went heads up to a 5J4 flop and Black checked over to Jozoff who wagered 16,000. Black made the call.

Jozoff bet 75,000 when checked to on the 7 turn and Black made the call once more.

Action went check-check on the 3 river and Black tabled AQ for the winner.

Xu Bests Jozoff as Entries Trickle In

Zhiyuan Xu three-bet Michael Jozoff from the small blind preflop and Jozoff had called under the gun. Xu continued for 54,000 on the A65 flop before the K hit the turn.

Xu piled in 162,000 chips upon seeing the card. "That's gonna do it," Jozoff stated as he forfeited his cards to the muck.

During the hand, Joao Vieira and Yuri Dzivielevski took their seats at the table, while Cary Katz was spotted with a fresh starting stack on the adjacent one.

Matakis Pays Kornuth Off

Chance Kornuth opened to 17,000 first to act and was called by Ognyan Dimov on the button and Ian Matakis in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Action checked through on the 395 flop and Matakis checked again on the 10 turn. Kornuth bet 42,000, which got a fold from Dimov and a call from Matakis.

The K completed the board and Matakis checked once more. Kornuth fired 87,000 into the middle and Matakis put in calling chips after a bit of thought.

Kornuth turned over KJ for a rivered pair of kings and Matakis tossed his hand into the muck.

Perez In Control

Roberto Perez opened the action with a raise to 16,000 before Mehdi Chaoui three-bet to 52,000 from the cutoff. Perez called.

The flop came down 1053 and Chaoui continued for 38,000. Perez called.

The turn K hit the felt and Chaoui fired again for 108,000. Perez raised to 278,000 and Chaoui released his hand back to the dealer.

Zhang Gets Respect

Dean Lyall opened to 16,000 from the hijack and was three-bet to 42,000 by Jesse Lonis on the button. Min Zhang then shoved for 149,000 from the small blind, which got two quick folds from Lyall and Lonis.

Zhang tabled 1010 before collecting the pot.

Stamm's Amazing Start Gets Halted

Selahaddin Bedir raised to 8,000 under the gun and Scott Ball called on the button. David Stamm, who had already more than doubled his stack in the first level of Day 2, three-bet to 56,000 in the small blind. Bedir folded after using a time extension, after which Ball made a quick call.

On the subsequent 599 flop, Stamm put out a continuation-bet of 45,000 chips. Ball then raised to 135,000, which was enough to let Stamm lay his hand down and take down the pot.

Vang Doubles Through Spencer

Action folded around to the blinds, where Kou Vang limped from the small blind and Lewis Spencer shoved from the big blind. Vang quickly called all in for 86,000 and hands were revealed.

The 95A42 runout kept Vang ahead with his pair of eights and he doubled up.

Wilson Takes From Mercier

Andy Wilson had raised under the gun and was called by Jason Mercier in the cutoff. Wilson then continued for 35,000 chips on the 255 flop, which Mercier called.

With the pot amounting to roughly 120,000 chips, Wilson fired a bet of 85,000 on the J turn. Mercier's cards hit the muck as both players ended up with roughly two starting stacks.

Kulev Folds to Deeb’s Pressure

Alex Kulev riased to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Shaun Deeb in the small blind.

Deeb checked to Kulev on the 867 flop and he continued for 48,000. Deeb then check-raised to 126,000 and Kulev called.

The K fell on the turn and Deeb announced he was all in for 246,000 total. Kulev went deep into the tank and burned up a few time extensions before letting his hand go.
