Tackett Takes Down Back to Back Pots

Action picked up on the turn in a pot between John Tackett in the small blind, and his opponent, in the big blind.

With a little over 3,000 in the pot and the board reading 6♠5♠5♣A♦, Tackett check-called a bet of 3,000. On the 2♣ river, Tackett fired out a bet of 9,000 and the big blind folded.

The next hand, Tackett raised to 500 on the button and the player in the big blind defended. The flop came Q♥4♥6♥, and the big blind check-called a bet of 800.

The turn 6♣ went check-check, and on the 3♠ river, the big blind led out for 1,500. Tackett called and the big blind mucked, awarding Tackett the pot.

Hong Makes the Correct Call

The player from under the gun raised to 600, and both the hijack and cutoff called. Nan Hong, in the small blind, three-bet to 3,400 and under the gun called, while the hijack and cutoff got out of the way.

The flop came 3♥2♣Q♦, and Hong continued with a bet of 2,500. Under the gun called.

On the 5♦ turn, Hong bet again, this time for 3,600, and under the gun called.

The river brought the 7♣, and Hong check-called a bet of 9,000. Under the gun immediately mucked their hand, and the pot was awarded to Hong, who didn't have to show his hand.
