Assous Doubles With the Rockets

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A flop of Q58 saw Rodney Assous check, James Pilpa bet 65,000, Assous made it 165,000, Pilpa shoved, and Assous called off his stack of 525,000.

Rodney Assous: AA All in
James Pilpa: AQ

Pilpa no doubt though he was good and was probably surprised to see the pocket aces of his opponent. The runout of 28 changed nothing and Assous doubled up.

Hellmuth Eliminated

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth raised to 70,000 from the hijack and Ruiko Mamiya called from the big blind.

They both saw a flop of J55 which Mamiya checked, Hellmuth bet 50,000, and Mamiya called.

The 7 turn was checked through to the Q river. Mamiya announced that she was all in, and Hellmuth had a decision for his remaining 115,000 chips.

"What do you have?" asked Hellmuth.

Eventually, Hellmuth put in the remainder of his stack.

Mamiya quickly tabled Q10 and Hellmuth shot up out of his seat in disgust. After some time looking back at the board and his cards (plus letting out some expletives), Hellmuth mucked his cards face down into the muck. It is not known what Hellmuth had but the A was spotted as he was standing and looking at his hole cards, the other remains a mystery.
