It is not time for Bruce Buffer to win a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. But the legendary UFC ring announcer wasn't far off from winning a bracelet on Sunday.
Entering the third and final day of Event #39: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em (8-Handed), the mixed martial arts enthusiast had the smallest stack out of 13 remaining players.
Sergio Aido raised to 600,000 on the button with K♠J♣. Chance Kornuth called out of the small blind with 10♣9♣ and Viktor Blom defended the big blind with 10♠8♦.
Both players checked the 5♠8♣5♦ flop to see the 2♣ turn. Kornuth led out for 700,000 and only Blom called.
The 5♥ on the river saw Kornuth check then reluctantly fold to a bet of 1,850,000 from Blom.
