Lin Gets Caught Speeding

Level 5 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Carlos Chadha opened 11,000 in early position and Ren Lin three-bet to 30,000 from the hijack. The action quickly folded back to Chadha and he made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of 972 and Chadha checked to Lin who continued for 15,000. Chadha called.

When the 10 fell on the turn, Chadha checked once more before Lin fired two green chips across the line for a bet of 50,000. Chadha thought about it for a few moments and announced all-in.

Lin started to sing while thinking, and eventually turned to Leon Sturm beside him and asked him to slap his hand. Sturm obliged, and Lin asked for him to do it again but harder. He obliged again, and then Lin pushed his cards into the muck.

David Peters: AAAll in
Brandon Steven: KK

Peters found himself in excellent position to get the full double and managed to hold on the J turn and A river to get a much better start to the tournament on his second bullet.

Chadha "Gambles Too Much" as Lin Doubles

Level 5 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ren Lin

Carlos Chadha opened 11,000 under the gun and Ren Lin jammed 102,500 from a few spots to his left as he asked politely, "Please don't snap-call."

The action folded back around to Chadha and he did indeed snap-call as both players tossed their hands face-up.

"Ah, snap-call and double me up. Okay." Lin said excitedly, and looked over at his neighbor, "High-five."

Ren Lin: J10All in
Carlos Chadha: AK

Lin was behind but only momentarily as the J93 flop hit felt, giving him a pair of jacks. The 9 turn and 9 river improved him to a full house as he collected his double.

"You gamble too much," Lin joked as he raked in the pot, "Call me with just ace-high."

"You got it," said Haxton upon seeing Heath's holding.

Chen Wins Blind Versus Blind Battle

Level 6 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau limped the small blind and James Chen checked his option.

When the 764 flop hit the felt, Vaskaboinikau fired 12,000 and Chen called.

The J landed on the turn, and Vaskaboinikau continued for 33,000 before Chen raised to 100,000. Vaskaboinikau made the call.

The dealer dropped the 2 on the river and Vaskaboinikau checked to Chen as he slid a stack of greens across the line to bet more than Vaskaboinikau's stack. Vaskaboinikau wasted no time tossing his cards into the muck as the dealer pushed the pot to Chen.
