Chen Seems Unstoppable

James Chen was on the button when he raised 500,000 and was called by Pen in the big blind. The flop came out 6♦8♣K♣ and Pen bet 250,000 which Chen raised to 500,000. Pen called and the dealer put out the 6♣ on the turn. Chen bet 500,000 and Pen made the call.

The river was the 7♠ and Chen bet 500,000 when he was checked to. Pen called and Chen turned over A♥K♠6♥2♣ for a turned full house. Pen mucked his hand and Chen added more chips to his mounting pile.

James Chen raised from the cutoff and both Lewis Brant on the button and Sowann Pen in the small blind called. In the big blind, Adam Nattress raised and all three other players called in this family pot.

The flop of 9♣3♦10♦ saw Pen check to Nattress who bet and Chen raised. Brant and Pen both folded and Nattress three-bet for his last chips which Chen called.

James Chen: K♦K♣8♦6♣

Chen was in the lead with his kings against Nattress' top pair, but the turn 4♠ gave Nattress tens up, making him a massive favorite. The river flipped the script once more as the K♠ gave Chen a set of kings to scoop the pot and eliminated Nattress in fourth place.

Chen bet 500,000 and Pen called. The Q♠ came out on the river and Chen bet 300,000, putting Pen all-in.

On the flop of Q♦3♦5♣, Chen bet and Brant raised which Chen called.

Chen checked on the turn A♣ and called when Brant bet, with the same action repeating on the 9♠ river.

Brant showed K♦4♠3♠2♠ for a wheel and took the first big pot of heads up play.

Brant Amps Up Aggression in Heads Up Play

Lewis Brant really hit the ground running once heads up play began.

In one hand James Chen limped and Brant checked to a flop of 7♣7♦A♥. Action checked through the flop and Chen bet 500,000 on the 5♠ turn, which Brant called. The river was J♥ and Chen bet 500,000 which Brant raised to 1,000,000 and was called by Chen. Brant turned over J♦10♦3♦2♥ and Chen folded.

A few hands later Brant raised to 500,000 from the button and was called by Chen. Both players checked the 10♣10♥J♠ flop, as well as the A♦ turn. When the A♣ came on the river Brant bet 500,000 and Chen quickly folded.

Brant is proving to be a worthy opponent in this heads up battle and the bracelet is still up for contention with how well these two players have been playing.

Brant called on the button while James Chen raised in the big blind and Brant called.

The board ran out 6♥Q♥4♥3♣10♣ with Chen betting every street and Brant calling.

Chen turned over A♥5♥3♠K♦ and the nut flush with second nut low was good for Chen to scoop the pot.

When Brent turned over A♣7♦5♥2♠ Chen mucked and Brant raked in a nice pot.
