Laak Stays Alive
Level 11
Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
Action was caught with Phil Laak all in for 14,100, with Calvin Anderson and a player in the small blind involved in a side pot with 26,800 in it.
The flop came 3♠9♣8♥ and when the player in the small blind checked, Anderson bet the pot for 69,100, and the small blind folded.
Phil Laak: A♠A♥6♣4♠
Calvin Anderson: J♠9♦8♠3♦
It was Anderson ahead of Laaks's aces with his flopped two pair. But when the turn came the 5♠ it gave Laak a lock on the low hand, and flush draw to go with his aces. However, the river was the 4♥ for the players to chop the pot.
