Matusow Sends Opponent Packing
Level 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Picking up the action partway through the hand, Mike Matusow in middle position had his opponent from early position all in and at risk.
Matusow held A♠K♠9♦7♦ and improved to two pair on the 7♥K♦9♣Q♠2♦ runout. His opponent could not beat that hand, bringing their tournament to a close as Matusow absorbed their chips into his stack.
