Lijo’s Aces Get Paid

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action started with a raise from Lander Lijo in the hijack. Jin Kim was in the big blind and defended.

The flop came 284. Kim checked and Lijo bet 60,000. Kim called.

The turn was the J and Kim again checked. Lijo bet 200,000, which Kim called.

On the 2 river, Kim checked for the third time. Lijo put the rest of is chips in, 590,000 into a pot of around 600,000. Kim thought for a little while and then called. Lijo turned over AA.

Kim mucked his hand and was left with only 70,000 chips.

He has since been able to double up with pocket 66 against Minh Nguyen’s 89. Players got it in before the flop and the runout Q3A210 gave Kim the only pair and the double-up.
